TERRATECH CONSULTANTS (M) SDN. BHD. (Terratech) provides a wide range of engineering services for the support and execution of infrastructure projects. In addition, Terratech is also actively involved in providing technical and inspection services to support the execution of operation and maintenance services for a highway concessionaire.

OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB

A Geotechnical Engineer is responsible to provide technical expertise and support in the geotechnical scope of works and consultancy for the operation and maintenance of KLK Highway and ECE I.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent is required to discharge the duties of a Geotechnical Engineer and such other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Immediate Supervisor or any other person(s) assigned by him/her. Further details as follows : -

• Carry out site inspection and investigation on any geotechnical related defect/failure as reported by the client
• Design and propose remedial works for any geotechnical related defect/failure. 
• Prepare a technical report related to geotechnical scope of work.
• Advice on temporary measures required to contain any geotechnical related features.
• Advice on necessary Subsurface Investigations (SI) works, and monitoring required.
• Ensure construction works comply with design requirement.
• Responsible for evaluating and validating the technical tender evaluation related to the geotechnical scope of works.
• Ensure design compliance with standard specifications and ISO 9001:2015 requirement.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering 
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in geotechnical related design works.
• Experience with SI works.
• Familiar with design of slope failure remedial works.
• Familiar with slope stability software i.e. Slope/W
• Exposure to geotechnical forensic investigation
• Knowledgeable in ISO 9001:2015.
• Good written and communications skills in English and Bahasa Melayu
